When it comes to the subject of our Modern diet and what it is doing to us you have to look no further then the TOPTHREE KILLERS Cancer,Heart Disease and Diabetes.
These Top Three are all closely linked to diet.
To balance your pH with diet you need to realise that your Modern diet is acidifying, meaning that the majority of food that is eaten has an acidifying effect.
By design our bodies are able to deal with the pH balance functions that are required when we eat food that is low in acid production and even the occasional overloading of these food types.
Our bodies will balance out the acidifing effects for short periods with out to much harm being done to it.It is the long continious assault with acid producing foods and not restocking and rebuilding with alkaline forming foods that causes all the damage. When your balance your pH you can turn an unhealthy acid body into a healthy alkaline body.
When you ask the Question is a diet where you balance your pH that important to your health, you need to take more into account than just the food that you put into your body.
You really do need to ask about the quality of the food that you are eating.
How has the food been grown?
How many times has that crop grown in that field?
What chemicals are used to fetislise it?
What pesticides have been used to kill disease and insects on them?
How long has the food been stored after being harvested?
What is the water quality like?
If it is not Natural WholeFood how has it been processed?
What has been added in the manufacturing process to make it tastier, last longer and be more colourful.
Has it been pasteurized, cooked, frozen, cured, pickled or smoked?
When you eat any animal products, diary and eggs included, you add to your intake all the residue drug products that have been added to the animal’s diet to keep them disease free. The list does go on and it just shows you how far we have removed ourselves from Natural WholeFood which does the job of helping balance your pH.
You won’t find doctors and nutritionists as a whole telling you to balance your pH, but they will be saying to you to cut down on your intake of high levels of protein, cereals [carbohydrates] and sugars and increase your intake of fruit and vegetables.
Which will help to start balance your pH by reducing the acid producing food you eat and increasing the alkaline forming foods.
The lists below are a general overview of the two groups ( foods, drinks and products) that won't and will help to balance your pH.
Examples of Acid-Forming groups:
Alcohol
Sodas
Fats
Meats
Fish
Poultry
Eggs
Most nuts (except almonds)
Most dairy (milk is around neutral in pH balance, but high in fat forming mucus)
Refined sugars (and everytning that they are used in)
Food additives and chemicals
Salt
Drugs
Most grains (millet and roasted buckwheat are slightly alkalizing)
Most legumes (soy and lima beans are very alkalizing).
Examples of Alkaline-Producing groups:
Vegetables
Sprouts
Cereal grasses
Herbs
Fruits.
You can help to balance your pH diet with these easy changes to the way you prepare and eat food:
Starting the sprouting process will increase the alkaline levels in low acid-forming foods such as whole grains and legumes, this is done by soaking them in water (preferably water that has a pH of 7.4 or more) before cooking them.
Chewing the complex carbohydrate foods (grains, vegetables and legumes) completely to mix them with salvia, a very alkaline fluid, will start digestion.
Stop drinking while eating, this dilutes the salvia and stops digestion from starting in your mouth.
When you start to balance your pH with diet, look at what you are doing as creating a lifestyle and not just another diet to do for a short time. This will help with your mental outlook to maintaining the correct eating habits.
